Strawberry Picking

We went strawberry picking--'tis the season!  Matty had a great time trying to find the best strawberries, or you know, just any old strawberry lying in the path.  It was a beautiful, breezy day and we came home with about 6 lbs of the red fruit.  Now, we just have to figure out a good way to eat them all!  Luckily, Matty likes them!!

The Perils of Telecommuting

Working from home has a lot of advantages.  One of the biggest disadvantages is all the trouble Matty gets to while I have to field work calls.  He's been particularly active lately and finding all kinds of new ways to make messes.  He found the alphabet pasta and dumped it all over the floor.  Then, in some sort of attempt to clean up, he was scooping up handfuls of the alphabets and throwing them back into the cabinet.  Oh dear.  But still, he's just too cute to be mad at!! 

Nursery--Complete?

It's hard to believe, but I think the nursery is almost 100% ready for it's new resident!  I hope she likes it! :-)
All the clothes are washed and put away, too--time to check that off the prep list!

Crisis!

There was a near crisis this morning! Matty decided to take his pajamas off, but they got stuck on his foot.  So, he was walking around desperately trying to get free of the stubborn foot hold!!  He was NOT amused by his predicament....

Can we watch Office Space today?

Matty likes to keep himself busy while I'm trying to work or get things done around the house.  One of his favorite things to do is go through all of Daddy's dvds and games.

Nap Time!

It's really fantastic that Matty has been able to acclimate to taking a nap in his bed so well.  When we first transitioned from crib to bed, I thought for sure that nap time was going to be sacrificed.  We are in a wonderful routine right now and most days he even runs up the stairs to hop into bed!  He's allowed to pick out a few books and read in bed, but even the most interesting Richard Scary book can't keep him awake...

Under Construction

Matty and his Tonka truck-- getting the job done!  Of course, he needs to have his yellow construction hat on.  Safety first!  Unfortunately, Matty has a love/hate relationship with the Tonka.  Earlier in the day he took a tumble into the corner of it and came away with a cut below his eye.  He shook it off pretty quickly and went back to playing with the truck!

Culinary Challenge

 Matty enjoys every opportunity he can get to "cook".  A culinary master?  Not quite yet.  He is a master at using the pepper grinder, though.  He likes to pretend to cook by putting pepper in a bowl, cup, or anything handy.  Then, he dips his finger in and tastes it, and says, "MMMmm". :-)

Just an Ordinary Morning...

Matty can successfully remove his pjs--the first step in getting dressed, right?  After his pjs were tossed aside, he found a comb and was attempting to brush his hair to get ready for the day.  Then, he headed into the office (comb still in hand), to peruse the video game and movie selection.  Not sure which one he decided to pick :-)
