...{yawn}....
Matty was so tired. {How tired was he?} Matty was so tired...he fell asleep in his high chair. Right in the middle of his early afternoon snack. He did manage to gobble down some orange slices, raisins, and crackers before deciding it was time for a siesta. He was in such a sound slumber that we carried him all the way up to his crib and he didn't move for 2 hours.

No bat? No ball? No problem!
Matty really enjoyed playing baseball at Pop's the other day. So much that when we came home, he managed to create his own baseball bat and ball to play with in the house. He took a bumpy teether ball and then unscrewed the post from a ring stacker.
Ok, who wants to play on my team?
Look--I have a ball and a bat!
I'm ready for my first pitch, Daddy!

At the Table
Matty is getting so big, sometimes it's hard to believe how fast he is growing. He loves to sit at the table like a "big boy". He's pretty darn proud of himself...

Strawberry Picking!
We went strawberry picking at the farm down the road. The strawberries are delicious!! I sense strawberry shortcake and other strawberry-centric treats in the near future.

Visiting Anna David
Recently we took a trip down to Virginia to visit Matty's friend Anna...
She was very happy to have a visitor!

They played very nicely, and even posed for a picture while holding hands.

Too Quiet
Quiet time is good....but it's mostly bad. Matty woke up this morning and sounded like he was playing nicely in his crib. I wanted to finish up a quick work email and he was being very quiet, so I thought everything was going well. When I walked into the nursery, I saw Matty's pajama pants on the ground (not unusual)....and then on the other side of the crib, I saw his diaper on the ground....and then I noticed the pee all over the floor and the crib. You got me this time, Matty!
This day in "Matty History"....exactly 2 years ago today, on our 2nd wedding anniversary, we found out we were pregnant with Matthew!
