Matty: The First Year Retrospective

A look back at Matty's first year with us...

Happy Birthday, Baby!

Happy 1st Birthday Matty!

I guess it's time to stop referring to him as a baby, since he's certainly "toddling" around like a true toddler and now he is 1! Hard to believe it's been a year since he came hurtling into the world. I think he would agree that he had a good year filled with lots of firsts:

* 1st 5K Race
* 1st Plane Ride
* 1st Tooth
* 1st Smile
* 1st Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
* 1st Haircut
* 1st Cookie
* 1st Game of Peek-a-boo
* 1st Steps
* 1st Phillies Game

One thing is certain, we've enjoyed having him around. :-)

New Perspective

Sometimes, you just need to view the world from a different perspective. :-)

Nilla Wafers are Awesome

Matty is a huge fan of Nilla Wafers. He gobbled down 4 in a row (and probably would have kept going) as a snack yesterday afternoon. Yummy

Getting big

Walking is way more fun when you have toys in your hand. Matty is looking tall and quickly becoming an expert at walking.

Two-Teeth McGee

Matty still only has two teeth. I'm sure the rest of them will come in eventually....

...but it doesn't bother him!!

Our Little Walker

After he took his first steps almost a month ago, he hasn't looked back. He is walking every chance he gets and each time, he gets a little bit further. Here's a short video of Matty walking. Even as I post this, Matty is downstairs walking laps around the living room. I'm only half-joking. Daddy is watching him and I think they are up to no-good. :-)

Maracas

One of Matty's favorite Christmas presents is the Maracas--he loves shaking them and dancing.

Matty = 11 months, Anna = 2 months

Carley (9 months) and Matty (11 months) checking each other out. Hard to believe at one point they weighed the same!

Watch this everybody...I'm going to play one of my favorite games...
Steal the baseball hat. Daddy lets me play it all the time. I'm pretty sure Tom won't mind....

Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone! Hard to believe it is 2010 and even harder to believe that Matty turns 1 at the end of this month! In the spirit of the new year, Matty has put together some resolutions that he wanted to share with you, so without further ado:

Matty's 2010 New Year Resolutions

1. Learn how to run

2. Try at least 1 new food a week

3. Travel to a new place

4. Get lots of sleep

5. Say "Mommy"

6. Learn how to swim
