Let's do the worm!
Matty loves playing with his new worm toys (thanks Angus and Keri!)
Just dancing with the worms....What did you say Mr. Worm? It takes how many licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Time for a hug!! :-)

COUSINS!
Big cousins Ryan and Brendan stopped by to see Matty yesterday...
Matty somehow managed to sleep through the chaos.

Is this really necessary?
On our way out to a doctors appointment this morning. The February air is chilly out there, so we bundled Matty up. He told us that he felt like the kid from "A Christmas Story".
Plumping up!
Matty is taking a snooze--it's hard work gaining weight! He's weighing in at 8lbs 2 ozs. Keep up the good work!

First Real Bath
The girls got together today to give Matty his first real bath...
Yeah, that about sums it up. Poor guy.

Aunt Sue
Aunt Sue came over today after being quarantined for 2 weeks with sick kids--glad the Harmons are feeling better! Matty is looking forward to meeting his cousins Ryan and Brendan soon!

My parents are embarassing me already
We put a hat on to take him for a little walk around the neighborhood--it was 60 degrees today!
We're pretty sure this is what he is thinking here:
"I'm only two weeks old and my parents are already embarassing me. I mean, dogs are cool, but couldn't they have put me in a more manly hat? How am I going to explain this to the guys in college?"

Like father, like son
Brian was teaching Matty the fine art of sleeping in this morning--he was a quick study. He even matched the facial expression perfectly!

Recovering from a milk bender...
Here, Matty is sleeping off his latest milk bender. He's claimed the bed... guess Eileen and I are sleeping in the crib.
Note the discarded bottle he cast aside in a milk-induced rage, shortly before passing out.

A man of many faces...
Diaper changes are no fun...
The little dude cries bloody murder everytime we try and change his diaper...
He gets over it quickly. Here he just told me a shocking secret!

One week!
Matty is one week old! The little dude has been very good and is eating more and more each day. Today he received visits from both Pop and Aunt Jenny.

Attack of the Killer Hiccups
Matty gets hiccups all the time... he doesn't seem to mind them though.
Grandmom came for a visit
Little Matty survived his first visit from Grandmom Carol today... though he was nearly blinded from 100 camera flashes. Digital photography has it's downside.
Matty with Grandmom CarolEileen is feeling much better, and has been taking great care of Matthew. I've been a very capable observer. Admittedly, he's made it easy on us so far, rarely cries unless he's hungry or we are changing him.
We've only had him home for 2 days, and he's already gained 5 ounces from his discharge weight. Great work!
Thanks for all the well-wishes.
Brian

Time for your closeup...
And here is a closeup of the little guy. He has a ton of dark hair, just like Eileen did as a baby. He's a little too smart for us, and closes his eyes before the flash goes off when we try to take a picture. We managed to outsmart him eventually. He's got dark brown eyes with a hint of Eileen's green in them.
Mommy's here too!
Mommy is not too excited to have her picture taken right now - but she did a great job and looks fantastic!
Matty is home!
I'm a dad! Say hello to Matthew Clark. He had an exciting first few days in the hospital, but he's home now!
Here we are after walking in the door for the first time.
He was born at 8:57 PM on January 28th, 2009. He weighs 6lbs 13oz, and is 19.5 inches long.
Hello World!
Hi! This is Brian, and this is our first blog post. I've never done one of these new-fangled blogs before, but figured that this would be a good way to share some pictures of Matthew.
